Aluminium Curtain Walling

About Aluminium Curtain Walling

Curtain walling is essentially a giant wall of glass. Due to the lack of structural importance of the outer wall in question, a curtain wall is a great choice as it can be built at low construction cost, whilst letting in a huge amount of natural light. It is designed not to carry any dead load weight from the building, apart from the dead load weight of the facade itself.

Natural light

As alluded to earlier, the curtain walls that we install can be made almost entirely from large panes of glass which let in extremely large amounts of natural light, making your interior feel much brighter and more spacious. This also looks fantastic from outside looking in, meaning your premises will have a stylish edge.

Another benefit of opting for glass fronted aluminium curtain walling is that you will be allowed more thermal comfort as the high-tech glazing keeps the warmth in and the cold wind out.

Variety of options

As well as glass fronted curtain wall systems, we also install curtain walls that are made with other infills including a stone veneer, metal panels, louvres and working windows and vents. This means you have plenty to choose from in order to allow you to tailor your finish to your wants and needs.

Versatile

Curtain walls are very handy in that they are designed with a variety of requirements in mind. They differ from your more traditional store-front systems in that they are able to span multiple floors with ease, whilst still remaining aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound.

These walls are built whilst taking into consideration a number of requirements including building sway and movement; thermal expansion and contraction; water diversion as well as thermal efficiency. If you have a large commercial premises in Sussex, then aluminium curtain walling could well be the best choice for you!

Stylish

As we mentioned above, the curtain wall systems that we install are very aesthetically pleasing and you can opt for standard or sloped facades, and a variety of finishes. The seamless, uninterrupted glass to glass joints that are available make the front of your premises look as slick and stylish as possible. We can also install a system that uses top-hung frameless glass, which can accommodate doors and horizontal sliders.
